How the West Was Won

The music video that we watched today was very powerful and moving with the lyrics and images portrayed. The story was how the west was born and from the creators view, the west was created on war. There were images of bombings, buildings being destroyed, weapons of mass destruction and later a clip of a helicopter chasing down a buffalo. This symbolizes the manifest destiny that American's have on taking control of the west and expanding and destroying nature as well as the Indian culture. I feel as though the message was very settle yet very overwhelming at the end of the video. It really shows the Native American's point of view on what is happening in our culture and how it is affecting everything else around us. If only there was a solution to help those and things that was once there before the west was won.
